It could be , but that is not the way I see it. If I am rated 2000 and I play an opponent which is weaker than I am by 100 points. After ten games, I should be able to make a statement unless I am playing him completely drunk, the weaker player should not be able to beat me 75% of the times out of 10 games. Now with programs it could happen that one program will win 5 games in a row and then the other will take turn if they are of equal strength or close enough within 50 rating points. But I do believe that 10 games give us an indication of how close a program is to another program by looking at the percentage. PS: It doesn't proof that the program that won by 6.5 to 3.5 in the first 10 games is stronger than the program that lost the small match, but at least it gives us a clue that the program that won is very close or within 50 rating points from the loser (Fritz 6) Jorge
