I would keep playing the default settings. I know the setting we are finding
have shown go results playing CM default at fast time controls. We should not
yet assume they are best overall at all time controls, and at playing other
programs. I would keep playing the default settings untill you can find a
program that beats CM 6000. Then we can test other setting against that program.

Right now I am just getting a collection of possible stronger settings then
default. I have not yet started true testing. I think we can not say this
setting is better then default until we play many programs at long time controls
and compare it with the default CM6K settings. So James is saving us much time
by playing default settings, and I thank him for it.
