The commands can be hard at first if you're not use to anything like IRC
perhaps.
But here is the low-down

connect to server:
username
password

ch +64
ch +50
ch +49

this connects you to channels 64 (computer chess), 50 (main), and 49 (Tourney)

chances are you'll hear about the (C) tourney in either 49 or 64 (or both)
The tournament handler is called mamer.. it'll issue a tournament number..
something like this:

:mamer TOURNEY INFO: Tourney #21, a 3 0 r SS, has been opened!

so to join all you have to do is type:

mam j 21

and voila! you're int he tourney, and let your chess engine burn off some cpu
cycles.
