It would be interesting to match the top free programs: Aristarch 4.41, List
512, El Chinito 3.30, and Smarthink 0.17a versus these top 4 commercial from the
2001 SSDF RATING LIST. I believe that these free top 4 programs are close in
strength in longer time control to these top 4 commercial from the 2001.

THE SSDF RATING LIST 2001-12-27 83119 games played by 229 computers

Program Rating + - Games Won Oppo
01 Chess Tiger 14.0 CB 256MB Athlon 1200 2715 38 -36 378 66% 2600
02 Deep Fritz 256MB Athlon 1200 MHz 2711 37 -35 390 63% 2600
03 Gambit Tiger 2.0 256MB Athlon 1200 2696 40 -39 319 61% 2617
04 Junior 7.0 256MB Athlon 1200 MHz 2681 37 -36 377 59% 2619
