as one of the participants in this test as part of the 'pomfret' group, I can tell you a little about this test. Bratko-Kopec is Not a General test of chess knowledge-- it is a specific skills test of 'pawn levers.'-- such as those decsribed in hans kmoch's 'pawn power' treatise. there are tactical questions within the test, but these are placed there as a blind to the purpose of the test by the test takers. so if you have an interest in how a computer handles levers, as compared to an 1800-2000 player thenthis test has a specific use for you. -marc
