Excellent news!! I have already downloaded, registered and received my activation code! I'll have a close look at UCI+ tonight (BTW I'd suggest that you call it UCI 2 or UCI II, since there is bound to be another revision which has no obvious name - UCI++?!?) and see if I can incorporate the changes into Monarch! Obviously one interesting feature is the pane on the right which looks as if it contains the expected line for each possible move - is this correct? What are the other new features (for us English speakers)? What is the engine? Is it basically Shredder 7? If so does Shredder 8 support the UCI+ protocol? Are there any other engines that support UCI+? I assume that this doesn't mean that SMK has severed his relationship with ChessBase - is this correct? All the best, Steve
