Subject: About the Moderator Elections...

Author: Steven Schwartz

First my apologies...
Between the holiday madness here, my two broken toes,
and an unexplained 102 fever that has been following
me for five days now, I just have not had the time to
get the moderator elections on the right track.

Now, about the elections...
The plan is to list all of the people that have been
nominated so far (which I have done below). We would
allow until Wednesday, December 16th, for new nominations
or to give nominees a chance to decline the nomination.

At that point, each nominee would be asked to submit
to us, via email, his feelings on what his philosophy of
moderation would be. We would ask that this process be
completed by Sunday, December 20th. By Tuesday, December
22nd we would post the names of the final nominees along
with their moderation philosophies.

The Opinion Poll would then be cleared so that it could be
used for the elections. The election process would take place
from Tuesday, December 22nd through Tuesday, December 29th.
The three elected moderators would be announced on December 30.

Below, you will find my best attempt at listing the names of
those nominated over the last week or so. However, there may be
others that I missed and there may be declinations that I
missed as well. Let us all work to make this list correct. It
is in no particular order and the spelling is only as good
as it was written in the original nominating post...
