you are correct sir. you do not need to use tablebases to read this e-book. yet the ability to use them is a significant enhancement when one wishes to see complimentary and corresponding king squares in a study. this e-book is therefore of greater value than the printed text. also the ebook contains a motive key which allows the user to sort newly collected games within auerbach's established taxonomy. therefore the user is not restricted to the study of older examples. and mistakes by recent players can be quickly spotted in theoretical endgames.
