I use yahoo for two reasons.

First of all it is nice to be able to check your mailbox no matter where in the
world you are. I've had "paid" accounts before and having to check 3-4 email
boxes a day or forward everything to one is a real mess.

Secondly, email accounts gets spammed. When the amount of spamming starts to
annoy me I get a new account.
No filter hassle for me thanks, I got better things to do with my time! :)

My suggestion is that passwords should _not_ be given out automaticly, instead
post without a password and after a while if you are not a trouble maker you can
be granted a password.

So while you are a provisionary all your posts must be read and approved by a
moderator before they get posted to the board.

Of course this requires some work for the moderators, but it seems to work on
for other forums so it probably doesn't require as much work as one might fear.
Adding two or three more moderators to help out with this could also be
possible.
