It'd be pretty tough for a newbie to set up, but the package manager is just _awesome_. For example, I wanted to do a 'whois' this morning. My system didn't have it. I typed 'emerge whois' at the shell and 30 seconds later was ready to rock. Try it - you'll never go back. :) -- James
