That's not true on my Windows XP Home (SP1) machine. The hash resizing bug
happens whether the engine is running, or not. It's related to Infinite Analysis
mode.

Sometimes the hash size can be changed without any apparent problem. But then
the GUI crashes when Infinite Analysis mode is started. At other times, it
crashes immediately when changing the hash size.

They provided me with a test version of chessprogram8.exe to try, and it still
contains the same bug, although a bit different in how it acts.

Then they said they can't reproduce the hash resizing crash on their computers,
and that I must have a processor overheating problem.

I then asked them why my processor only overheats with the Shredder 8 CB GUI,
but never with the Shredder 7 GUI, nor with Shredder 8 in the Classic GUI. They
didn't respond further... :)
