Imagine the following picture: Crafty16.19 searches 500,000 nodes per second with celeron 1ghz Crafty16.19 searches 1000,000 nodes per second with Celeron 2.6ghz Crafty19.12 searches 300,000 nodes per second with celeron 1ghz Crafty19.12 searches 900,000 nodes per second with celeron 2.6ghz It is clear in that case that 19.12 gets more speed improvement from the faster hardware because 3>2. I do not know if something similiar happens because I did not test Crafty with different hardwares. Uri
