I have seen hundreds of games on ICC where this has happened against Crafty.
Years ago, a few humans would try to block the position and then shuffle a rook
back and forth.  And run Crafty out of time.  Once I fixed it so that it could
not lose on time, things got ugly.  Crafty would make an unexpected move that
required a precise response, but the opponent was using premove and failed to
notice the new move, and BOOM.

This style of play went away, eventually.  :)
