Hi, after a longer development time is WB/UCI Patriot 1.1.0 now available. [http://www.gladiatorshop.com] Support by Vladimir Yelin in Arena Support Forum (password protected). Vladimir's engine is playing a really new style of positional chess and have many knowledge for endgames. With a lot of parameters / settings can you try to make Patriot to a tactial monster too. In Gladiator-Shop system you can find a detail page of Patriot with the readme.txt and a description of Vladimir settings. Vladimir's Patriot supported both standard engine protocols (WinBoard, UCI). Vladimir give a very hight level support and maybe customers have interest to send us new personalitys for on of the next versions of Patriot. Patriot can beat the best commercial programs and have in much cases the following results: Patriot 1.1.0 Pre Release 3 - Shredder 5.0 : 5.0 (reported by Gerhard Sonnabend in Arena Support Forum) or Patriot 1.1.0 Pre Release 3 - Ruffian 2.1.0 4.0 : 6.0 Results by myself with 40/10 without ponder: Patriot - AnMon, 24.5 : 26.5 Patriot - Gandalf 4.32h, 29.0 : 21.0 Very nice exemples for Patriot! The engine Patriot have a really good name "Patriot" because Patriot is the Patriot of computer chess engines. I wish all costomers a lot of fun with Patriot! You will never know a potentional results befor you start a match against other engines. Patriot will surprise you with interesting results :-) The free version of Patriot is very strong too! WB Patriot 0.1.7 Light based on Kaissa 1.7 and won a bigger tournament on SDChess webpage in front of SmarThink! You can order the free version of Patriot in Gladiator-Shop system! So you have one of the Patriot's in your engine directory! The free version is a service by Vladimir Yelin too, because not all persons have the money to buy an engine!
