But of course it will >be neccesary to write a new driver. > >I hope this could help. > >Best greetings, >Hannu Wegner Yes, You can simplify and say that the DGT-driver has code to read the DGT board and code to automatically make the move, or command, by sending keystrokes or mouse clicks to the program you choose to use. You can extract the "move-making" code and use it with whatever you want. I've toyed with the idea to make a "PMB", or "Poor Mans Board", that would get it's moves through speech-recognision. You could use any chessboard and have a headset with a microphone and when you move you say "e2e4" and the move is made automatically on the computer. If you use it with Fritz or CM5500, you'd get the response back in speach too. This shouldn't be too hard to do. Regards, Rolf G.
