Yes, you can make any imported engine play from the tablebases in the same
manner as an engine gets a move from an opening book. Engines that use their own
TBs in the search can still do so if you set them up that way, so if you have
the Nalimov files then e.g. Crafty can still use them.

Additionally, if you have lots of free CPU time and hard drive space, you can
even start to create 6-man files. I wonder if anybody has started to make these
downloadable after creating them? I think perhaps only Marc Bourzutschky has
created enough of them to be interesting, but I don't think he has made them
available to anybody else (yet, I hope).
