  ...but interesting anyway.
  I had a long thought during a travel and came up with the idea that too many q
nodes are actually wasted. QSearch should simply give a quiet position to get a
reliable eval, but in fact, in Averno it was doing a selective search, mostly
unnecessary.
  I implemented some ideas to heavily prune in qsearch and removed all pruning
from regular search but null move.
  My computer is busy doing thousands of games, but results so far seem to mean
that this version is strongest Averno so far. Also, some games on ICC have put
Averno in its high scores in all time controls:

  Still new tests are needed, and I have very little time, so it'll take months,
but I though I'd share.
  Any thoughs from similar experiences?
