Uri,

Speed of input is not always an important factor. Often *ease of use* is the
most important factor and "pointing and clicking" with a mouse can be more
intuitive/easy that using a keyboard. Usually, a good interface will support
both novice and expert users. So, using a mouse should be supported.

Also, sometimes desk space can be limited - allowing space for a mouse, but not
a keyboard.

Finally, how much faster can you input moves using the keyboard compared to
someone using the mouse? I think the difference - if any - will hardly matter.
I may be wrong, but I think most bullet chess players use a mouse to make moves.
