I do have Chessmaster 9000 and will try it. (2) Elsewhere in this thread was a mention of "blindall" pieces. That seems very promising and may be the only way to use Fritz. (3) For keyboard entry, I would begin by displaying the scoresheet so would be able to see if the wrong move were entered. Similarly, if no move were entered that might mean that the attempted move was illegal. (4) My first step with Chessmaster 9000 will be to see if I can play the first few moves of the Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation as Black. That's where the problem came up with Fritz. Bob D.
