I have never had any problems at FICS (because I have never registered there),
but I have heard a lot of people telling about their problems there. Even though
you don't have to pay money to play there, it seems that it is not free :) You
have to put up with admins who do whatever they feel like. And what can you do?
It's not like you are paying for anything.

To me that is the biggest problem with a free server. If an admin has a bad day
and wants to ban some people, what will stop him (or her)?
