Hello,
a new version of Jonny, v. 2.62, is ready. Compared to the v. 2.61 the following
things have changed:
- fixed bugs:
(1) analyzed always for black after a position was set up in Arena, also if it
was white´s move
(2) was something like "level 0 5 0" and "go" without a "new" between, Jonny
crashed
(3) a bug sometimes happening if the timeout came during calculation of a
promotion was fixed
(4) a bug in calculation in the qsearch was fixed
- changes in chess
(1) also partially finished iterations are now used for the choice of the move
to be played
(2) failHigh/failLow-behavior has slightly changed
(3) time-algorithm has changed, increment is considered now
- changes in communication
(1) Jonny is able to claim a draw by three-times-repetions, insufficient
material and the
50-moves-rule.
(2) Jonny is able to resign (set the resignValue in the settings.ini; it has to
be
a positive value, "700" means to resign if search returns a value lower than
-700 for
example)
(3) if you set "showCurrentMove=1" in the settings.ini, the currently calculated
move is transmitted to the GUI. It doesnt work properly with the attached
winboard adapter.
(4) In the windows version some sample-settings for different memory-amounts are
attached
(sorry, I forgot to put them in the linux-tar)
