Maybe they will run out tomorrow. Try Energizer Titanium, I suspect you'll get 20% more use over the Duracell Ultra. This has been my experience, with a Logitech wireless optical mouse I use. Actually I was surpised, but glad to know which batteries to buy. I would expect the Ti cell should do as well in a dedicated chess unit as it did with my power hungry mouse. The Ultra rates number two on my list. Lloyd
