Yes, that is another way to do it, which I haven't yet tried (I don't even collect any fail low statistics in my search). In the long run I hope to reduce or completely eliminate the use of history counters for pruning and reductions. History information isn't very reliable, and it is probably better (but harder) to rely on knowledge instead. Tord
