Hi Kurt, I was on vacation (still am as a matter of fact but could not resist checking ccc :) ) , thanks a lot for your analysis. 1) The early queen development is a problem I am working on , but I doubt whether I will fix it - reason is simple , then end position that gets evaluated has all the pieces developed. Without adding path specific evaluation terms (which will wreck hashtables) I will not be able to solve this. At lower plies queen moves are not considered - due to a penality to penalise this sort of behaviour. 2) I recently found a bad bug in kingsafety - since king is in centre - engine was refusing to push the pawn in front of it !! hence it was reluctant to play e4 ... but now hopefully it should be solved. 3) a3 is more to reduce mobility of knight and bishop .. I think my mobility terms were too agressive :) - have not yet analysed this too much : Thanks for pointing this out 4) The move h4 has same problems as (1) - end of pv had pieces in kings quadrent (along with a minor tropism bug that I fixed) I am still analysing that endgame - thanks for your comments ... since I left the day I posted this , could not do much analysis of the game ... will start again when I am back home this sunday.
