Subject: auto232 without null modem cable

Is there anyone out there who has been able to connect the ChessBase Fritz GUI
with Winboard on one computer via auto232 without using a null modem cable?
(Actually without having a com port.)

I tried to set up a named pipe, but couldn't get the Fritz GUI to accept it.

For what it's worth: Arena is just not ready for serious ICC play.
