After changing the hash size then starting Infinite Analysis mode, the exception still occurs in the recent April 2004 update GUI. There is a slight difference. Now the error message says "Shredder 8 caused an exception" which is a message from the GUI - not from the operating system. Te operating system is now unaware that an error occured, so this GUI is not properly integrated with Windows XP Home. After the error happens, Infinite Analysis mode refuses to work until the GUI is exited/restarted, while in the prior GUI the exit was automatic. So they have made no improvements in the GUI as regards this bug. Their testing and debugging is seriously lacking. Once again, I note that this bug does NOT happen in the Classic Shredder GUI, so it is definitely a fault of the native CB GUI. WP
