This fact supports the idea that making deliberately dumbed down engines is a
worthwhile endeavor.

Testing on a chess server rates the dumbed down machine, with different dumbing
schemes producing different ratings on the servers.

Perhaps the time will arrive when the "dumbing down" concept will have achieved
some sophistication.

Popularity of dumbed down machines on servers and the marketing success of the
ChessMaster program [which offers "dumbed down" modes] both indicate that chess
programmers should pursue this idea.
