Subject: Another dumb question!

Atleast that is the way some people introduce a question they're a bit afraid
of.

Question is, Is there any engine out now, which clearly outsmarts Shredder 7.04?

Even if it does not get a big plus over it, does it atleast fight back from
inferior positions and equalize with perhaps a plus, in pieces or position e.g.
a pawn up (I understand that not every plus in material or position is enough to
win, but it still might show some superiority, if that is the common thing)?

If there is nothing clearly stronger, then that might show that we have not yet
advanced since then.

I'm not asking for absolute proof, such as the plus and minus from ssdf to be
completely sweeped up, and still be fully above. Very rarely does it require
that in order to have a fairly accurate estimation of relative strength imho.
