Personally I can't see the point in using computers to aid analysis in
correspondence play. What satisfaction would you get knowing that any victories
were not solely due to your own efforts?

This topic is a bit of a sore point with me because I won the NZ Correspondence
Championship back in 1994-95 and yet because my OTB strength is well below my
correspondence strength, many thought that I must have used computer programs to
achieve this. At least I know I didn't, but it certainly takes the shine off my
best achievement in chess when you know that others think this way.
