And are we talking about the same thing?

It occurred to me overnight that your reference to Help was imprecise, as was my
original comment. I'm talking about:

(1) turn on Infinite Analysis mode
(2) click the Help menu on the chessboard screen in the native CB GUI
(3) click the "About Shredder 8..." item therein
(4) on my computer, Infinite Analysis mode immediately stops calculating (the
clock stops)

I have seen this Help-About bug confirmed here by someone else in the past, but
don't recall if it was you.

I can understand that someone might not see the hash resizing/Infinite Analysis
mode bug unless they use Infinite Analysis mode like I do. I ONLY use Infinite
Analysis mode, nothing else, so I am almost certain to find any related bugs.
Those who only use it occasionally may never encounter them, or only rarely, in
which case they might consider it a temporary glitch and ignore it. This hash
resizing/Infinite Analysis mode bug is one that even I cannot reproduce! It
doesn't happen every time. It appears random. It maybe only happens 10% of the
time.
