For these commercial engines, we can arrive at conclusions only through trial
and error, except their authors/programmers speak out.
The way each programmer uses hash memory is very different.
The 2 GB I mentioned apply only to the engine I have written (BigLion).
This huge hash is optimal for BigLion because :
1) I don't clear the hash between search iterations and game moves
2) I store complete 64 bit hash key for validation
3) I hash many things: search positions, main eval, pawn eval, etc.
