My advice is to wait a couple of months. Intel is releasing a new processor chip (code-named Dothan) probably around May 10. This should be significantly faster than anything available now, perhaps as much as 30-35% if it's released (as rumored) at a maximum of 2 ghz. So sometime between the middle of May and the end of June there'll be a whole new generation of laptops available, which will also mean major price drops on the technology available today.
