I chickened out -- as our precognitive ex-moderator Don Dailey put it, saying that he had known I would. Thus, I am not a nominee anymore and please remove me from the list. Too bad that some of the ex-moderators were simply flaunting nominations around. Someone would post something about the upcoming elections, and the unnamed ex-moderator would simply say "OK, listen to this guy here, I nominate him..." without further substantiating the reasons for the nomination. Such superficiality may have put off some people; it did put me off and is one of the reasons I am turning down the nomination.
