[ With some new data added just now, I've modified the figures ...}
What I'm saying is that, taken over the 3-5 and 3-3/4-2_P-less endgames whic are
affected by the 50-move-rule:
1.94% of wtm, and 3.36% of btm positions are 'frustrated wins' or 'saved losses'
These figures are affected by the usual (?) canonical naming of
endgame-profiles, which would not be the case if they were organised by
Winner-to-move and Loser-to-move.
Further, across these 'affected' endgames:
1.54% of wtm, and 2.53% of btm decisive positions have DTZ > 50.
This doesn't change their status as 'frustrated wins' or 'saved losses' but it
does suggest that one would play the strategy SZ- against a fallible opponent,
just as one would (normally but not always) do when DTZ =< 50.
One would be 'living in hope' against a fallible opponent. That is all I meant
to point out.
For 3-5-man, the figures are 0.43% for wtm and btm, coincidentally the same.
