Thanks for your comments.  Yes, Kb4 looks ugly and was probably wrong.  But the
crucial mistake in my opinion was allowing Hydra to get the passer on the
f-file, by 43.gxh4.  Your alternative was Kc2, but the black king goes to h5 and
positions either at f4, or, else, the black rook gets the c-file.  For example,
after 45.Kc2 something like this could happen (?):

45...Kh5 46.Kd2 Kxh4 47.a5? (what else) f3 48.Nc4(may be the only move?) Rxc5
49.Nxe5 Rxe5 50.Rxf3 Rxa5 51.Rf8 Re5

This position looks untenable to me.  What do you think?
