Hi Alan
Many thanks for the reply but I really don't need another dedicated chess
computer. I just put the message on for 'us' who still prefer the dedicated
machines over the PC versions.
I used to produce a quarterly computer chess magazine called 'Chess Computer
World' which sold quite well all over the world. One of the perks of this was
that I struck up a deal with Mephisto. Tis was that if I inserted one of their
brochures with every issue of my magazine then they would send me one of their
full size wooden auto sensory chess computers !!!!
This went on for a few years and I made a bit of extra cash selling them.
I actually do have an Excalibur Grandmaster siting here besides me as I write.
It's a pity that it isn't just a little bit stronger but it does gives my son a
run for his money.
Anyway, I'll keep posting if I see anymore new dedicated models come on the
market.
Regards from England
Bryan
PS...my main interest in computer chess at the moment is chess graphical design
for the Pocket PC & Palm
