Well here's the rub; Being that this is a site for Computer Chess related posting, there is certainly nothing wrong about an unlimited number of post on topic. That there are a lot of post (on topic, and with out evil intent:), indicates that this is a healthy place. Most of (probably 98%), the post about CM6000, have CM6000 in the Subject header. So killing them is just a matter of not reading them! If only there was a way to know before you read them, that they were or were not worth reading? Well, I think that applies to a lot of what you read in any newsgroup. After a while, I think we all develope a sence of what threads (& author's of), we are going to read, (or not read). As far as other types of material, I can tell you that I would love to see more about all sorts of chess topics, but then again, this would no longer be the 'Computer Chess Club', if that occurred. A question for Steve might be, Is it possible that ICD will ultimately branch out and have other types of online chess clubs here too? A club for discussion about playing other human's online for example, or about what are the finast chess sets available, & where to get them. Some post would overlap, other's would not. For example, no one is likely to post something like; 'The World Open is the best chess tournemt', or 'Gambit-Soft is the best place online to buy because of free shipping & the strenght of exchange of the US dollar', because it doesn't pricisely fit the charter of the Computer Chess Club. BTW, I am not trying to say anything criticle of ICD, I think they are a superb retail establishment as well. mrslug - the inkompetent chess software addict!
