Subject: Which programmation langage are made the ChessBase engines?

Hi
Can someone tell me in which programmation langage (C, VB ...) the ChessBase
engines are written?

Someone knows who is Mr Andrew Kadatch? What's the DATACOMP V1.0 which seems to
compress the data !!?
