My personal impression is that 11.5 is stronger, but I need to play more 40/120 games with 11.7 (played only 1 so far, a loss to Fritz 5.16). The final result of the tourney (more detail will be posted soon) is: 1. Genius 5.0 10.5 [wins 2nd of 3 Shep Blitz tourneys this year] 2. Chess Tiger 11.5 10.0 3. Nimzo 98 Pad. 9.5 4. Fritz 5.16 9.0 5. Chessmaster 6000 8.5 ... [other participants: CM 5555, MChess 7 & 8, Junior 5, Rebel 10, Shredder II, Virtual II, Crafty 16.0, Comet A.96, Mirage 15.26, Tiger 11.7] I think 11.7 placed 6th or 7th, but I can't remember precisely (yep, am getting old :-). The decision came yesterday when CM 6000 lost to Genius but squeezed a draw off Tiger 11.5. Genius and Tiger lost only one out of 15 games (both to Rebel 10). --- Shep
