How can you possibly know anything about Diep's strength? It is not available
to the public (with the possible exception of some extremely ancient MS-DOS
version), and it has just played in a handful of tournaments which are not
nearly enough to give us any reliable picture of its level. The truth is that
only Vincent and perhaps a few beta testers have any idea about the strength
of the engine.

And even if we assume that Diep is 50, 100 or even 200 points behind the
strongest engines: Who cares? Unless you are a GM, you are not likely to
notice
the difference. Stability, support, features, ease of use and style of play are
what really counts for the average user.
