I agree with you, eidetic memory or imagery has been defined as "the ability to
retain an accurate, detailed visual image of a complex scene or pattern... or
see an image that is an exact copy of the original sensory experience" , but
this is applicable also to names or numbers if we translate them in images.

Imagine also how profitable can be the intensive use of a chess database, like
chessbase , by an eidetiker specialized in chess ...
