Because the SSDF tests with the default settings, and most people here are
analyzing with settings that are specifically tuned for long-term analysis
and/or longer time controls.

The difference has been shown to be anywhere between 50-100 rating points,
depending on who you ask (although I believe it is closer to 50). CM9000 with
default settings on the current SSDF list is rated at 2720 in 13th place, less
than 100 points from the current leader. Give it another 50 points and it's one
point out of 5th place.
