Doing "Deep Position analysis" in Fritz 8, I ran across surprising behavior.
Fritz analyzed two main lines, which transposeded after 8 ply to the exact
same position with the same player to move. The analysis continued for another
12 ply.
But after the point of transposition to the same position, Fritz chose two
different moves in the two lines of analysis?
How could this happen and what are the implications for the reliability of
Fritz' Deep Position Analysis?
