1. Before the last WCCC. You posted here "Falcon has a positive score against
all commercial engines."

2. In this thread:

Shredder 8 is the only engine that consistently scores above 50% against
Falcon in my tests.

Or are you going to play the semantic game of "I didn't say I beat them, I just
said I could score 50% against them, no more." Your implication is pretty
clear. But your previous statements were much more direct...

None of this matters to me. If I read here, _everybody_ can beat Crafty. In
endgames. In the middlegame. In the opening as its book sucks. Fortunately I
get to play in the occasional tournament and end up doing reasonably. At least
far better than predicted based on how badly I lose every basement match that is
played.

I don't claim to be better or worse than anyone. I just show up and play and if
I do poorly, I do poorly, if I do well, I do well. If more would follow that
approach, there would be much less hyperbole, and acrimony... I like the idea
of "walk softly and carry a big stick" rather than "writing checks my program
can't cash." So I don't make predictions or claims. I just play. Every day on
ICC... Anybody can watch my program, play it, beat it, or get beaten by it...
all without any comments by me...
