Hi Graham
Go on ... what should I state here? You will not believe it, but I don't
have a favourite program but prefer working with various engines depending
on the specific position. Below a short list:
a) ChessTiger15 for fast analysis (10s) in positional situations
b) Fritz8 for general analysis (1m) and analysis in half-closed positions
c) Hiarcs9 for longer positional analysis and kingside attacks
d) Junior7/8 for longer analysis in dynamic and unclear positions
e) Shredder8 for short/long analysis in open/half-closed and attacking positions
e) a lot of strong amateurs for comparing purposes
