My shredder 8 on my Athlon@2160 Mhz needs 1:55 with 384 MB hash >and 21 sec with 256 MB hash !!!! Not at all. Shredder is a bit sensitiv for hash settings. I tried the whole WM-Test (100 Pos) with 16,32,64,128,256,512 and 1024 MB Hash, the outcame was that Shredder performes best at 256 MB Hash. Of course there where single positions where 512 or 64 (or any other setting) where better, but 256 where the best for the overall performance. (That Only means that these 100 positions with 20 min on my comp where best solved with 256. On onother comp with another time it might be different. But, since then, I use 256MB!) Ingo
