Hey guys, I was wondering if there were any chess engines out there that were built to run on clusters? I realize that clusters can be inefficient due to lack of shared RAM, but I would assume that at a certain point when you hit a massive number of nodes, the sheer amount of mass calculations that could be performed at once would begin to present an advantage.. I remember reading about an idea to modify GnuChess to work in a beowulf clustering environment a while ago, but I never saw any follow-ups on it.. anyone have any info on this? Thanks.
