Using more than 1 MB of disk space just in order to play KQKR endgames perfectly is really ugly. The TB code in itself is also a problem, because it almost doubles the size of my executable. I can accept to double the size of my executable if it gives me 200 Elo points for free, but not if I only get 20 Elo points. The complete 5-piece TBs almost certainly give me *less* than 20 Elo points, and are therefore definitely not worth the cost. The next version of my engine will probably no longer include tablebase support. Tord
