at what point(if ever)are members asked to take a thread offline here and continue it through personal emails? i am obvioulsy referring to the never-ending thread about the Crafty-Hyatt speedup results. now i realize that the thread is certainly "on-topic" but it really has degenerated into nothing more then a series of personal attacks,insults,name calling and finger pointing..and this was about 3 days ago! is this thread allowed to run on and on because well known programers are involved? would it be allowed to spin out of control this way if it were two lesser know programmers ? would it be allowed to go on an on "ad nasuem" if it were not chess programmers at all??
