Many people here are not native English speakers. When people don't know exactly how to say something in English, they say it to the best of their abilities (or sometimes they post it in German or Spanish). Unfortunately, sometimes what is said and what is meant end up being very different, and to a native speaker the message ends up communicating a drastically different meaning and tone than what the original poster intended. I remember one time a native English speaker said, "It is a shame you will not be participating in the upcoming tournament." A non-native English speaker thought the native English speaker meant, "You should be ashamed that you will not participate in the upcoming tournament." Now imagine what would happen if the non-native English speaker replied with a bit of hostility. You can imagine how quickly things can get out of hand, since neither side can understand why the other side is being so hostile.
